Senior Citizen Facility Exchange Program
The significance of the exchange program for elderly care facilities promoted by JICEF
JICEF conducts exchange activities with elderly care facilities and senior citizens in local communities.
Japan is one of the world's leading aging societies. We aim to increase opportunities for senior citizens to feel connected to their communities and to interact with people of various generations and nationalities.
The program includes participation from international students, young people with overseas roots, Japanese students, and working adult volunteers, who spend enjoyable time together with senior citizens.

Interaction and mutual learning that transcends generations and nationalities
Through international exchange events, cultural introductions, games, music, dance, and seasonal activities, we foster interaction that transcends generations and nationalities.
Furthermore, these events provide opportunities for senior citizens to interact with younger generations, and for young participants, they offer a valuable opportunity to learn from those with rich life experience.
Through these exchanges, we aim to create a society where everyone can remain connected as an important member of the community.
