JICEF (Japan International Cultural and Education Foundation) hosted a special Irish Cultural Day at Tokyo Katei Gakkou Orphanage. This event was designed to promote cultural exchange, education support, and heartwarming connections with children through the traditions of Ireland.

Event Highlights

  • Ireland Presentation – Children learned about Irish history, culture, and traditions.

  • Quiz Game about Ireland – A fun and interactive way to test knowledge while building teamwork.

  • Cooking Irish Desserts – Participants prepared and enjoyed traditional Irish sweets together.

  • Irish Tin Whistle Workshop – With the guidance of a musician, children experienced playing a traditional Irish instrument.

The event created a warm and joyful atmosphere where children and volunteers could connect beyond borders. By sharing music, food, and culture, we strengthened our mission of cultural understanding, multicultural coexistence, and community contribution.

JICEF will continue organizing international cultural exchange workshops and volunteer programs that bring smiles and meaningful experiences to both children and adults.
