Supporting schools in Tanzania through overseas volunteer work
As part of its overseas volunteer support activities, JICEF (Japan International Cultural and Educational Foundation) collaborated with its local partner organization, TAEF (Tanzania Educational Foundation) , with whom it has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to provide charity support to schools in Tanzania.
This activity was carried out as part of the "Overseas Education and Child Support Project," which aims to build a better future for children around the world. Through overseas volunteer staff working on-site, we delivered support supplies directly to children attending schools.
Main relief supplies delivered
We donated a wide range of supplies, from daily necessities to items that support learning, tailored to the needs of local schools and students.
Groceries
Basic foods that support daily growth and school life, such as cooking oil (KORIE) and sugar.
Clothing
Various clothing items to support children's daily lives and school life.

Educational and learning supplies
Special notebooks and original ballpoint pens printed with the JICEF logo and the message "Together for Education, Culture, and Community" are available to support children's daily motivation to learn.
Uniforms
JICEF original polo shirts for the local volunteer staff who supported our relief efforts.

A partnership for mutual growth
Seeing the students' smiles and the unified support from the school and community, I was reminded once again of the importance of the "partnership of mutual growth and learning" that we aim for. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at TAEF on site and to the volunteer staff who worked so hard to distribute the supplies.
JICEF will continue to support the healthy growth and educational opportunities of children across borders!
